  1. Reasons for Choosing Tokyo International University Japanese Language School

I chose Tokyo International University Japanese Language School because I was impressed by its high university acceptance rate and comprehensive support services for students aiming to continue their education. The school offers a well-established system of recommendations, as well as preparatory classes for university entrance exams and the EJU, creating a supportive environment for students with academic aspirations. Additionally, its convenient location made commuting easy, which was a major draw. Furthermore, throughout the year, the school provides not only classes but also numerous opportunities for cultural exchange and experiencing Japanese life. I feel this is a school where students can grow not only in their Japanese language skills but also in their understanding of life and culture in Japan.

  2. About School Life

What stands out most about my school life is the warm atmosphere that comes from having small class sizes. In class, rather than just passively memorizing facts, I’m able to learn by actively discussing topics in Japanese with my teachers and classmates, which has definitely helped improve my Japanese skills. We also have time to give presentations on social issues, current events, and newspaper articles, which has allowed me to develop not only my Japanese language skills but also soft skills like research, summarization, and communication.Being exposed to my classmates’ ideas and diverse perspectives made going to school every day something I looked forward to. Furthermore, the support system is very comprehensive; for instance, whenever I had questions or concerns, I could easily seek advice at the counseling desk. Support in my native language is also readily available, and I truly feel that this is an environment where I can study with peace of mind.

  3. Current and Future Goals

I am currently studying in the Department of International Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Toyo University. While there are many opportunities for reports and presentations at university, I feel that the presentation skills and foundational report-writing techniques I acquired at Japanese language school are proving very useful to me now.Economics is a discipline that helps us understand the foundations of society. The more I study it, the more I realize how profound it is, and my interest in the subject continues to grow. For this reason, I plan to pursue graduate studies in the future to further deepen my expertise. As someone from Vietnam, a developing country, the knowledge and experience I have gained in Japan are invaluable assets. In the future, I hope to become a bridge connecting the economies of Japan and Vietnam and to contribute to the development of both countries.

  4. A Message for Those Considering Studying Abroad

In today’s increasingly globalized world, some people may think that Japanese isn’t strictly necessary. However, I feel that understanding Japanese is a tremendous asset when it comes to studying and living in Japan.By actually learning Japanese and living within Japanese society, I’ve gained a deep understanding that can’t be obtained simply by observing from the outside, and I’ve developed a sense of belonging as a member of Japanese society. Studying abroad is by no means easy, and there are various challenges, but I believe it is well worth the effort. TIUJ provides an environment where students can go beyond just learning the language to deeply experience Japanese culture and society, making it a very supportive place for international students. To those considering studying abroad, I hope you’ll find the courage to take that first step.
