Graduate Interview

The reason I chose this school was because of my family’s experience. My mother had previously studied here, and I heard that it had been helpful in preparing her for higher education. Compared to other Japanese language schools, I liked that there were many classes designed with university entrance in mind, and that students could learn Japanese step-by-step, starting from the basics. Additionally, since the school offers math and chemistry classes to prepare for the EJU and conducts practice exams, I felt it provided a supportive learning environment for students aiming to enter university, which is why I decided to enroll.

In addition to Japanese language classes, school life also included activities that allowed us to experience Japanese culture. Among options like tea ceremony and calligraphy, I chose to participate in calligraphy. By actually trying these activities, I feel I was able to understand the words and expressions used in Japanese naturally, rather than just through study. In class, there were many opportunities for presentations and writing assignments, and I gradually became able to express my thoughts in Japanese. Also, at the school barbecue, I was able to interact with students from various countries, which became a wonderful memory.Through my classes and school life, I feel that my Japanese has gradually improved. Furthermore, being able to consult with teachers about my future career path was a great source of reassurance for me at the time, as I hadn’t yet decided on a clear direction for my future.

I am currently studying in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Takushoku University, and my immediate goal is to take my daily classes seriously and maintain consistent grades. Since specialized courses require the ability to understand content in Japanese, I am focusing on my studies by placing great importance on preparing for and reviewing each class. Looking ahead, I hope to pursue graduate studies to further deepen my academic knowledge. To that end, in addition to solidifying my foundational knowledge, I aim to improve my ability to accurately understand specialized content in Japanese and explain it in my own words.
