Other: School Life Support

Our school offers a variety of benefits to fully support students experiencing their first study abroad and life in Japan.

Commuter Pass

Tokyo has an extensive train network, and students generally commute by train or bus. While riding trains or buses requires paying fares, our school is eligible for student discounts, allowing students to purchase commuter passes at a discounted rate. These commuter passes are significantly cheaper than regular fares. Although it may not be a major consideration when choosing a Japanese language school, the ability to purchase commuter passes can make a significant difference in living expenses between schools that offer this benefit and those that do not.

Regular fare

323 yen (as of April 2026)

Commuter Pass

65,510 yen / 6 months

Commuter Pass

18,580 yen / 6 months

Save as much as 46,930 yen in just 6 months!

National Health Insurance

Japan has a National Health Insurance system, and foreign nationals staying in Japan for more than three months are required by law to enroll in it. While this is mandatory, it also offers the benefit of reducing your out-of-pocket medical expenses to 30% (for example, if medical expenses total 10,000 yen, your out-of-pocket cost would be 3,000 yen). Enrolling in National Health Insurance allows you to study abroad with peace of mind.

How to Join

Apply by presenting your Residence Card at your local city, ward, town, or village office. After enrollment, monthly insurance premiums are required. (Premiums vary by municipality.) You may also apply for a premium reduction based on your municipality's regulations and your income. For details, please consult your local municipal office.

National Pension

Individuals aged 20 or older residing in Japan are legally required to enroll in the National Pension System. International students are also covered, but they may be eligible for premium exemptions or the Student Payment Special Measures System.

Health Checkup

The school conducts annual health checkups for all enrolled students at the school's expense. These checkups are held within the Japanese language school building, allowing students to attend before or after classes.

Student Accident and Liability Insurance

All students at this school are covered by insurance paid for by the school, which provides compensation in the event of injury sustained during educational activities, or if they cause injury to another person or damage another person's property while under the school's supervision, resulting in legal liability for damages.

Disaster Prevention Measures

Our school conducts a disaster preparedness orientation for new students upon enrollment. Additionally, since there is a disaster prevention center near Ikebukuro Station, we encourage students to visit it to gain hands-on experience with disaster preparedness. The center features areas where students can experience simulated earthquakes and practice using fire extinguishers. It is very important to become familiar with these procedures through hands-on experiences and by seeing and touching actual equipment on a regular basis.

Campus Members

Our university is a member of the Campus Members programs for the National Museum of Art (Kanto Block), the Tokyo National Museum, and the National Theatre. We have also established a university partnership with the National Museum of Nature and Science. By presenting your student ID, you can enjoy benefits such as free admission to permanent exhibitions and discounted admission to special exhibitions. Since you can visit as many times as you like, we encourage you to take advantage of this program.
