Now Accepting Applications for the "Short-Term Trial Program" for Beginners with No Prior Knowledge of Japanese

You can participate even if you are a complete beginner in Japanese.
Tokyo International University Japanese Language School offers a short-term trial program designed for students with zero Japanese proficiency (beginners).
While our other courses require a certain level of Japanese proficiency for admission, this program is designed for:
 ・ Those who are learning Japanese for the first time
 ・ Those who have studied a little but can hardly speak
to experience the Japanese language and life in Japan.

■ What You Can Do in This Program
 Even during a short stay in Japan, while experiencing daily life
 ・ Enjoy shopping in Japan
 ・ Explore tourist spots freely
 This program aims to help you acquire the minimum Japanese conversation skills needed to get by in daily life to meet these needs.
 Classes focus on conversation,
 ・ You will learn to read and write Hiragana and Katakana
 ・ Reading and writing Kanji are not included in the curriculum

 ・ Uses a Can-do-based teaching method, emphasizing the improvement of communication skills in Japanese
 ・ Focuses on conversation practice based on real-life situations
 ・ Content designed so that even beginners can participate with confidence

■ Course Content
 ・ Basic greetings and self-introductions
 ・ Phrases necessary for daily life
 ・ Conversation practice
 ・ Simple grammar and vocabulary
 ・ Numbers and time
 ・ Reading Hiragana and Katakana

■ Differences from the Regular Program
Our regular program is designed for students aiming to enter university or graduate school and requires a certain level of Japanese proficiency upon admission.
On the other hand, this short-term trial program is an experiential program intended for beginners in Japanese language learning and is not designed for academic advancement or exam preparation. The curriculum focuses on Japanese conversation useful in daily life, such as shopping and sightseeing.
*This program is not intended to prepare students for admission to the regular course.

 ・ Session 1: May 11 – June 12
 ・ Session 2: July 6 – August 10
 ・ Session 3: August 17 – September 18
 Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM(Including a 15-minute break)
