  1. Reasons for Choosing Tokyo International University Japanese Language School

I decided to enroll because I felt reassured by the school’s reputation as an affiliate of Tokyo International University and its outstanding track record of university placement. In particular, I felt that an environment where many peers share the clear goal of advancing to higher education would allow us to grow together by sharing information and supporting one another. Additionally, I was greatly attracted by the fact that the school offers not only standard Japanese language instruction but also classes where students can experience Japanese culture, as well as club activities such as tea ceremony and calligraphy.I chose Tokyo International University Japanese Language School (TIUJ) because I am convinced that its curriculum—which goes beyond language acquisition to foster a deeper cultural understanding—will enrich my educational experience in Japan.

  2. About School Life

Thanks to the small class sizes, I was able to learn at a pace that suited my level. When I first enrolled, I didn’t know any kanji and struggled with reading comprehension, but by the time I graduated, I had improved to the point where I could easily tackle EJU exam questions. This dramatic improvement in such a short period is thanks to the systematic curriculum and the teachers’ dedicated guidance. Even when I lost confidence, my teachers supported me with even more passion than I had myself, providing not only academic guidance but also emotional support. The presence of friends who shared my high aspirations was also a source of encouragement, serving as the driving force that kept me going until the very end, knowing that “I wasn’t the only one struggling.”

  3. Current and Future Goals

I am currently enrolled in the School of Global Japanese Studies at Meiji University. With a large number of international students and a robust selection of English-language courses, I am studying in an international environment where I can hone both my Japanese and English skills.I hope to pursue a career in event and performance planning, and I am currently actively taking courses in the department such as Performing Arts Theory, Advertising, and Media Art. Building on the language skills I developed at TIUJ, I strive every day to acquire specialized knowledge with the goal of becoming a professional who brings inspiration to people through entertainment.

  4. A Message for Those Considering Studying Abroad

Before studying abroad, I too struggled with deciding on the best path forward, but now I can confidently say, “If I were to study abroad again, I would choose TIUJ.” That’s how fulfilling and irreplaceable my year and a half at TIUJ was, both academically and personally. What transformed me—someone who was once filled with anxiety—was meeting wonderful friends and inspiring teachers. If you’re currently unsure about your choice, please trust these words and take that first step. Thanks to TIUJ, I am now living the happy and fulfilling campus life in Japan that I had always dreamed of.
