From the Director of Academic Affairs
The rainy season has arrived. Even though it’s hot and humid, let’s try not to overuse the air conditioner.
Since the first EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students) is on Sunday, June 21, we will hold an EJU mock exam on campus on Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11. Additionally, since the first JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) is on Sunday, July 5, we will hold a JLPT mock exam on campus on Tuesday, June 23. We are encouraging students to ensure they can fully demonstrate what they have learned during the actual exams.
Furthermore, as part of our regular assessments, we will conduct conversation tests for all classes in mid-June, followed by written tests on Tuesday, June 16. We will review the management of each class based on the students’ test results and their performance in class, while providing feedback within each class. The students are currently researching their future academic paths, and we will continue to support them so they can make more concrete plans.
From the Career Guidance Office
In Japan, it is recommended that students attend open house events when deciding on a school. This allows them to understand what the school is like before enrollment, and some schools even require attendance as a condition for application. At our school, we encourage participation and provide guidance on how to make the most of these events.Since these events begin gradually in May and peak during the summer, we hold an on-campus career guidance session in early July (this year on July 6) as the final step in our preparation. For this event, representatives from universities and vocational schools visit our campus, where students experience school presentations identical to those at open campus events. Unlike other Japanese language schools, we do not rely on specialized agencies; instead, we negotiate individually with each school we wish to recommend for further education. We explain our school’s objectives to each institution before proceeding, aiming to maximize the effectiveness of these sessions.
Announcements from the Secretariat
As we are entering the rainy season, please take extra care to stay healthy and maintain good hygiene.
In addition, train delays may occur due to rain, so we would appreciate it if you could remind your children to allow plenty of time for their commute to school.
